10) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in “Game of Death” – He was funny in “Airplane”, but it was his role against Bruce Lee in this martial art classic. Who could forget his kick while sitting down that knocked the Martial Arts Superstar on his back. The 7’2 Kareem’s shows off some great moves and gives Lee’s character a run for his money before Lee kills him off.
Every single wrestler under contract, fan in the arena and viewer at home (at least I did) chanted “thank you Ric.” What an amazing feeling – it made me feel part of one huge wrestling family. We don’t need anybody else. This for us, the people that understand and respect the business and we want to thank the man that made the business what it is!
I enjoy the company of the wrestlers and the announcers. I do not really get to talk to them but I feel as if I am at home when I am watching wrestling. I get to know everyone involved with the show and I learned to know what to expect from each person, as if I am a wrestler myself. Sometimes, it is like the sitcom Cheers’ theme song, “sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name,” which is what wrestling is to me.
Beverages – This used to the most profitable area. Back in the days of fountain soda, when the cup costed more than the liquid inside it. Many high school no longer have soda fountains and few youth programs are going to have access to them. Today it’s more common for people to donate cases of soda, water or sports drink and resell the individual containers for $1 to $2. I see events mark water and soda at $1 and sports drinks at $1.50. Great, now you have to make change and deal with quarters on half your transactions. Do this and make your like easier. The water is the healthiest item and if they want to pay extra for sugar-water, let them. If it’s donated items the margin is the same at $1 for all items.
I have always found it facinating to WatchWrestling Divas Trish Stratus and Tori Wilson. These two girls are rockin with their hot bods, mean streak attitudes and skilled moves. Gotta holdem down girls! Stand on those mountains if ya have to! You know what they say. You have to fight to be on top!
